Homemade Pumpkin Spiced Latte

With the orange leaves falling to the ground, the evenings drawing in and halloween weekend on the horizon, we can’t help but fixate on the beauty the Autumnal season has to offer. So with cosy weather in mind, we tried our hand at making a seasonal favourite beverage: the beloved Pumpkin spiced latte. 

This is the perfect drink to enjoy with a friend whilst watching a spooky movie or to take on a walk through the woods.  


Top Tip: We discovered that our Presto Italian Espresso blend or House Brazilian blend work perfectly with this recipe. The light and sweet arabica beans complement the seasonal spices and provide a delicious rich and tasty recipe. 



YOU WILL NEED (Serves 2)

  • 2 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 1 to 3 tablespoons sugar, depending on how sweet you like it
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of ground nutmeg
  • 1 pinch of ground ginger
  • 1 pinch of ground cloves (the tiniest drop!)
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon (add more if you prefer) 
  • 1/2 cup hot Presto coffee
  • Whipped cream (optional)

DIRECTIONS

Add the milk, pumpkin puree, and sugar to a saucepan over medium heat. Heat until hot, but do not boil. Remove the saucepan from the heat and whisk in the vanilla, spices, and the coffee.

Divide the mixture between two mugs. For those who like their coffee a little creamy then top with whipped cream and add a sprinkle of cinnamon.
